In recent years, lacking of professionals of numerical control technology appears since the fast development of numerical control technology. Accordingly, it’s very urgent to enhance the training of numerical control technology. In China, the numerical control machine is not widely used due to the expensive setup and maintenance, thus the teaching and training is primarily in the form of theory teaching, and there is few training in the form of practice and operation. The purpose of this research is to develop a network system for numerical control experiment, which works for the teaching, experiment, programming, simulation, processing and remote service of numerical control technology. With this system, the resources are shared, and the cost is reduced. Thus, the system is an advanced, effective and feasible solution to improve the training and application of numerical control technology.In this paper, a network system was built for numerical control experiment, according to the structure and the requirement of network teaching and application, using Linux as operation platform, Apache as Web server, PHP as scripting language, and MySQL as backend database management of dynamic website. The system has effectively realized the information sharing and communicating in-school, among-school, and between school and company. The creative achievement is that the network system realizes the functions of online learning, cooperative design, machining simulation, and so on a same platform. With this network system, the control and the program transmission of numerically-controlled machine tool are realized through a web browser. Accordingly, the network system can realize dynamic configuration and flexible control bwtween numerical control technology and fabrication house, and between numerical control machine tool and software.
