Research On Spread Situation And Strategy Of Disaster Reports In Our Country

This dissertation discusses the current situation and development of the spread subject, spread object and communication strategy of natural disaster reports, which is based on investigating the research situation, research background and value of natural disaster reports, at home and abroad. Studying the natural disaster reports is the responsibility of journalists and the mass media, especially in the society with frequent natural disaster. This paper focuses on answering the following questions. Why does the media report natural disaster? How could the media effectively report the natural disaster? Which element will mainly affect the reports? What is the effect of the natural disaster reporting? How will the reports influence the audience? It provides theory support and guiding strategic advices for our natural disaster reports by answering these questions.The definition of natural disaster reports is the news reports regarding earthquake, mud-rock flow, tsunamis, flood and other natural disasters. These reports indicate natural disaster with the characteristics of sudden, unpredictability, objectivity, catastrophic, continuity, negative and reality. They can be classified from the different views of report form, content and style, and natural disasters life. This paper proposes the grading of the natural disaster reports, which is based on the time factor and the cycle factor.Some problems need to be discussed and improved. This paper analyses these reports, which are the snow and ice disaster:Wenchuan earthquake, Zhouqu mud-rock flow and drought and flood disaster, from three aspects:content, characteristic and impact. As demonstrated in this paper, Natural disaster reports in our country should include the following characteristics:the transparency of Disaster information; Meeting the public’s realization right, and highlighting humanistic concern in the reports. New media has become increasingly important role in natural disaster reporting. The media in China has developed mature skills after experiencing in the snow and ice disaster and the Wenchuan earthquake. However, the reporting idea is still in transition. Some problems need to be discussed and improved.In the dissertation, the important differences amongst China, the United States and Japan in the policy and inclination existence of natural disaster news reports is investigated. Meanwhile, referencing media to natural disasters reports experience, four strategies directions are proposed:setting audience consciousness as the essential starting point; gradually discovering the truth; choosing the appropriate preferences in reports, and construction the news writing art.
