An Analysis Of The Present Situation Of The Report

In the1980s, in-depth reports went into its greatest glory in our country. With the rapid development and profound social change, urban newspapers gradually pay attention to in-depth reports. Newspapers increasingly focused on the exploration of underlying problem in the in-depth reports, and lay bare the truth which is omitted. The Newspaper use the in-depth to expose wrongdoing, point with alarm, and distill complicated information into clear explanations of what’s really going on in the world. Nowadays the cultural quality and democratic awareness of audiences have been improved, therefore, the in-depth reports not a simple narratives but the exposure of truth. It brought out the deep thinking of news on the perspective in all directions so that people can explore the solution of social problems.The research materials are a total of624in-depth reports of Southern Urban Daily, Beijing Evening News, Qilu Evening News and Xi’an Evening News in2013.The thesis consists of four parts. In the first part, the concept and definition of the in-depth report are illustrated, including the emerging background and current situation in our nation. The second part uses the analysis of quantitative content to analyze the themes, subjects and perspectives of the samples. The analysis reaches a conclusion that the in-depth reports tend to use the civilian perspective, diversified theme and tendentious content. The third part points out the problem of in-depth reports------the local media tends to report positive local news and negative news in other places. The last part brings p some proposal to solve the problems of in-depth report.The thesis presents the current situation of in-depth report to discuss the problems of paper media, hoping to picture the environment, features and prospect of in-depth report in paper media so as to make tiny contribution to the improvement of the national news enterprise.
