The rapid development of wireless sensor networks has gradually attracted theattention of scholars at home and abroad in recent years. Researchers have beencommitted to the basic theoretical research in wireless sensor networks, with reliabledata transfer protocol being one of those hot spots. First, we made a comprehensiveintroduction to wireless sensor networks, discussed its development at home andabroad nowadays as well as defects and shortcomings of current data transfer protocol, then we briefly described and analyzed retransmission-based data transfer protocol inWSN. Major research works in this paper list as follows:1. A double-buffer transmission mechanism: Aimed at solving low transmissionrate in actual wireless sensor networks, we analyzed the reason of long data transmit-ssion time and large packet loss rate when using single-buffer transmission mecha-nism in original protocol stack, and proposed a double-buffer transmission mechanism, which effectively improved the data transfer rate of WSN nodes with limited memoryresources.2. Antenna’s omni-directional analysis: Networking and data transmission ofwireless sensor networks require a favorable omni-directional of their antennas. Thro-ugh comparison of antenna’s omni-direction between nodes designed by ourselves andthe ones made by Deep Networking Technology Company, we analyzed the import-ance of impedance matching in antenna’s Barron circuit, accumulating valuableexperience in the late circuit design.3. Implement an image monitoring system: We designed hardware circuit as wellas compiled and optimized software framework in this paper, which together implem-ented an image monitoring system appropriate for low-speed wireless sensor netwo-rks.
