The Development Strategy Of SNS In University Library Based On User Needs

As an open platform architecture, SNS build contacts and communication between people in a low-cost, high efficiency way. It is fully penetrating into our lives, and is gradually influencing and even changing our thinking and living manner. As a new community network, SNS also bring the new model with its powerful functions and features.The paper conducted empirical research through literature research method, the site survey method, questionnaire, interview, comparative research methods, and surveyed three modes of SNS applications for the university library at home and abroad:First, joined in SNS directly, by joining into some social networking sites; Second, introduced SNS mode actively, by adding social software, etc.; Third, developed SNS model independently, by building libraries’own social network. The author analyzed the effect of differences between the different modes, and summed up their success and failures. At last, on the base of the status of college students use the SNS and the needs of Library SNS service, the author proposed a practical strategy for the development of the university Library SNS the combination of, on this basis.The thesis focused in four areas:First, compare the effect of SNS service of the university libraries at home and abroad with the same mode; Second, compare the effect of SNS service of our university libraries with different modes; Third, summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the various modes; Fourth, explore the development strategy of the university libraries’SNS on the base of the demands of colleg e students.10 figs,17tabs,77refs...
