In recent years, with the high speed development of China’s communication industry and the increasing of broadband access user, communications enterprises internal business structure became more and more complex.As Broadband market continues to grow,IPTV and other businesses put forward higher requirements of bandwidth and broadband quality.broadband speed become a trend which cannot be halted,at the same time,competition of the telecommunications industry becoming increasingly fierce,press of carriers and the maintenance cost increased.How to reduce operating costs, improve the quality of the network, is the biggest problem facing broadband operators.The solution through the business intelligence technology to improve communication line state statistical is based on the communication enterprises database, integrated broadband communication business database related data. We realized communication line active monitoring and timely statistics, change from passive to active maintenance of maintenance, improve customer satisfaction through the data analysis processing and data mining technology; and discovered the hidden trouble in using communication line through to line port speed rate, bit error rate, abnormal dropping rate were statistically analysed; line optimization or the functions of fault diagnosis to eliminate failures, improve customer satisfaction, reduce the loss of the user.The data warehouse, on-line analytical processing (OLAP) and data mining based on business intelligence technology are introduced in this paper at first, it mainly including the definition, characteristics, the relationship between specific techniques, methods and tools and other related knowledge, and it laid theoretical foundation for the design and implementation of the system. Then based on the communication enterprises original statistical system in the business data, according to the enterprise operation department of the demand analysis and overall design, we have been carried out the research and analysis how to build the data warehouse, the port statistical model, each hour statistical model and test statistical model of multidimensional data set, and how to improve the operation efficiency of communication enterprises. This article uses the business intelligence platform by Wang Chongqing Software Company.On the base of the research and application of Business Intelligence Technology, as well as aiming at the problems of application of Business Intelligence Technology in the statistical condition of communication line.The contributions of this paper are in the following three aspects:1. It analyzed the main problems that existed in communication line at presentDue to the rapid development of information technology and the increasing of broadband access user, the communication line has beared tremendous pressure and the workload of communication operator maintenance department is increased, how to reduce the operation costs, improve customer satisfaction is the operator facing the main problems.2. The research of cleaning of the communication history data and modeling of data warehouseAfter known the needs of lines of communication state statistical, we must analyze the characteristics of the data, such as the communication enterprise in the associated with the communication line of business databases in the past years and document information and other materials. Then divided the corresponding subject according to the analysis of demand, determine the fact and dimension tables, designed the communication line to the data warehouse model. After that using the ETL tool to clean and transformat the source datas which have quality problems, such as errors and inconsistencies data, finally loading data into the data warehouse.3. The study of communication line state statistical system analysisExtracted the communication line state statistical data from the communication line in data warehouse, establishing lines of communication state statistics multi-dimensional data sets, using OLAP to analyze the port rate statistics, abnormal dropping rate statistics and error rate statistics, and then the underlying information of data had been found out.
