Analysis And Realization Of The Key Techniques In VoIP-VHF Communication System

As the sea area of our country is vast, the shipping industry is developing rapidly and the maritime traffic is increasing, so the problem of how to manage effectively ships at sea is becoming increasingly important. As the management of maritime traffic safety control center, Vessel traffic management information system (VTS) plays an important role in the ship communication, navigation safety and traffic efficiency improvement. As an important part of VTS, VHF communication system using VHF special frequency band to communicate between the ships and the VTS center. It ensures the normal contact and efficiency contact between the VTS center and the region under the jurisdiction. In the traditional VHF communication system, the transmission of voice use a unique line, it wastes the bandwidth seriously, and the coverage of the VHF system is limited. Centralized control cabinet often abnormal, the cost of procurement and maintenance is high. The traditional VHF communication system has been gradually cannot meet the requirements of the development of VTS. There are also some VTS center have introduced the technology of VoIP, but the application is not mature, there are a lot of problems.In order to solve the existing problems, and to’improve the communication ability of VHF, in this paper, a VoIP-VHF communication system is presented. It analysis the existing problems of traditional VHF communication system and VoIP-VHF system, and it discusses solutions to these problems, and design to the system, realized the key components of the system. It completed to realize the voice communication between VHFs and VHF transceivers, it also achieve the information of control/status to transmit on the internet, and to achieve recorded voice files through the VHF terminal PC machine and timing upload voice communication server. Voice communication server can provide the VHFs numbers that are free and store voice files. It achieves to download voice files from the server. It completed the basic functions of VoIP-VHF communication system.In this paper, it puts forward the VoIP-VHF system and designs it, the VHF system achieved to transmit the information digitized, to solve existence insufficiency of the traditional VHF communication system, to analysis the existing problems of VoIP-VHF communication system and proposed solutions, realize the remote watchkeeping by operators in the VTS center, greatly expanding the coverage of VHF communication system. Finish the unified management to multiple VHF transceivers, improve the flexibility of VHF communication system, the designed system has a higher theoretical and practical value.
