In WCDMA system, the physical layer technology provides all the features of the physical media bit and acts as the foundation of the entire system. Power control technology is so important, directly determining the performance of WCDMA system.The structures of WCDMA physical traffic channel and power control simulation model are designed using Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB) software on the basis of more in-depth study of the physical layer of WCDMA communication system theory and power control technology. In the design of the physical traffic channel, the structure of convolutional coding module, Viterbi decoding module, interleaving and deinterleaving module, spreading and dispreading module, scrambling and descrambling module, modulation and demodulation module are accomplished based on the key technologies of the physical channel coding, spread spectrum and modulation. After completion of the simulation testing of each individual module data, these modules are linked into a complete simulation model of physical traffic channel. In the power control unit, the open loop power control module and the closed-loop power control module are designed according to the technical parameters of the WCDMA power control. For the simulation of the power control performance based on the characteristics of the wireless mobile channel, the Gaussian noise and Rayleigh fading mobile channel simulation model are structured. Lots of data simulation testing of the entire system is collected based on the complete success of the WCDMA physical traffic channel, the wireless mobile channel and power control simulation model structured successfully in different test conditions, and finally the data from simulation test results was analyzed.The simulation results show that:The design of the WCDMA physical traffic channel simulation model is able to correctly finish the functions of channel coding and decoding, interleaving and deinterleaving, spreading and dispreading, scrambling and descrambling, modulation and demodulation, the output signal waveform of each module and technical parameters are correct. In a variety of wireless mobile simulation channel, the system is able to accomplish the function of open loop power control and closed loop power control, which effectively improved system performance.
