Today, as the science technology developing rapidly, the modern information technologywhich takes the computer technology, network technology and communication technology as acore has been widely used in the field of education. The contrition between the theoryaccumulation and improvement of practical skills is becoming more and more outstanding thanever, and then virtual experiment is appeared and enriched the content of the experimentalteaching and improved the theoretical system of experimental teaching.The first part of thesis explains that the author organizes current research situation homeand abroad by websites, on the base of studying at physics experiments in university, the authoranalyzes the necessity of developing virtual physics experiments, and relate to the characteristicof university physics experiments, and finally decides to adopt technology of VRML, secondlyanalyses theoretical foundation of virtual experiment design and application form three aspectsof the meaning of theory(such as Blended Learning, Scenarios of Learning and Autonomic ofLearning), the characteristic and supporting to virtual experiments, thirdly details VRML offunction, working principle, browser and editor as well as some important concepts, finallyintegrate with VRML technology to design virtual experiment of the polarization of light、Single-slit diffraction experiment.The article includes six chapters,in the first chapter, Analyses the application of the virtualtechnology at home and abroad and points out the necessary the physics experiment teaching, Inthe second chapter, the author analyzes the concept , type, characteristics and history of virtualexperiment, and virtual experiment’s application In the education .In the third chapter, I research for a variety the technologies including VRML, Java, etc. forexploiting virtual experiment, and puts forwards the opinion of integrating these technologies tocreate virtual physics experiments, In the fourth chapter, the author designs a practicalexperimental system,and takes the polarization of light Virtual experiment for an example, In thefifth chapter,the author introduces the module and the process of physical virtual experimentsystem taking the polarization of light virtual experiment as an example to introduce,then theauthor introduces the key technologies for exploiting physical virtual experiments system, In the sixth chapter the author takes the summary and the outlook on the job.With the result of our research, it’s easy to find a effective approach to improve theexperiment teaching, enhance experiment performance, especial for those that there are morestudents and less experimental equipment and is not easy to achieve in the real condition, and itcan also hold good meaning on the process to accelerate the networking and modernizing of theexperiment teaching.
