Based On Vrml And Java Virtual Experiment Design And Development

With the development of virtual reality technology,which is used widely in the major areas rely on its strong interaction,immersion and imagination.Now,it has been a hot issue of education research that to use the virtual reality technology to develop virtual experiment with the combination of the virtual reality technology and education.This study is targeted at the projection media,mainly on the simulation of the function and the usage of the projection media with VRML(virtual reality modeling language) and Java languages.Projection media are the auxiliary tools in teaching progress,and that are also the most important part of the experiment contents of the education technology.The appropriate and skilled usage of the projection media has done a lot to promote the teaching effect,and the students also need to master the usages of the media.Now,some teaching staffs were not able to use the projection media appropriately and skillfully due to the equipment limitations,or the lack of the guidance,thus affecting the teaching effect,and the students were not able to master the usages of the media for the lack of the study chance.According to the available information, although there are lots of developed virtual experiments,but there are a few virtual experiments on the usage of the projection media,or the technology used and the contents differ from each other.In order to master the usage of the projection media,it is necessary to develop a projection media virtual experiment.To combine the virtual experiment with the real experiment is to serve the teaching better.This article is to implement the virtual experiment system of the projection media to simulate the function and the specific operation methods based on the web rely on the VRML and Java languages,to make the learners to grasp the fundamental usages of the projection media,and to let the learners experience the delight brought about by the experiment form of the virtual reality technology in the learning process,thus the interest of the leamers is aroused and the studying result is raised.The content of this article mainly includes the following:First,this article studies the concept of the virtual experiment,has brought forward the self-view of the concept,it has done the research on the several ways and the theoretical foundation of application of virtual experiment in education.Second,this article has designed and developed four virtual experiments,which include the video presenter,the multimedia projector,the slide projector and the optical projector,in the light of the specific projection media course of the educational technology.It has done research about the main technologies of the virtual experiment deeply,which includes the video presenter focusing,zooming,handwriting on the light box,brightness adjusting,image color adjusting,switching of image negative or positive,the continuous operations,and the multimedia projector image keystone,contrast adjusting,position adjusting,and the relational operations of the slide projector and the optical projector,and the construction of the virtual environment of the laboratoy.Last,the author has done an experiment website,into which the virtual experiment is embedded.The web-based virtual experiment has its own advantages on the context,high interactivity and the immersion,and it will be beneficial for learners to raise their interest and efficiency of studying,and it will also be facilitate to self-learning and distance learning.
