It has been two years since the day TD-SCDMA was carried out commercial in 2009. As the independent intellectual property rights of china in the third generation mobile telecommunication standards field, its evolution technology TD-LTE will also be carried out commercial in our country before long.A product has to endure long and strict test to improve its quality before selling in the market from the perspective of the TD-SCDMA commercial process. As the core part of the telecommunication, TD-LTE UE’s quality plays a key role in the maturity and commercial process of the TD-LTE technology. Only through researching the TD-LTE UE RF conformance testing methods and developing a TD-LTE UE RF conformance testing system can we provide a fast test method for the UE and improve the quality of the TD-LTE user equipments.The aim of this paper is to research a universal TD-LTE UE RF testing system with the RF test equipments in the market. And this paper is based on the project which belongs to the national key technology program called LTE and LTE-Advanced development and industrialization project which belongs to the next-generation broadband wireless mobile communication network program.This paper focuses on the hardware and software’s design and implementation of the TD-LTE UE RF conformance testing system. First it gives a short description of the background and meaning of the research and. then describes the RF related technologies and the RF conformance testing indexes. The core part of this paper is how to develop the hardware and software structure. The content in the hardware development includes the overall structure design and the detailed structure design finally the verification of the system. It makes sure the test can be carried out in the proper condition by the hardware design.The content in the software part includes the overall structure design, the detailed structure of the software modules and the debug of the testing software. The software modules are made up by the driver developing of the RF switch box, test instruments’driver developing, test cases’ developing and software operation interface design. The design of the software makes sure the test can be carried out automatically. It comes to a conclusion and description of the the next stage research points in the end.
