The exhibition is the medium of delivering and receiving information efficiently by using space as the carrier for the dissemination of information and integrating a variety of design elements. It is the media which is different from the past science instruments and means of marketing. The exhibition has science and marketing properties at the same time. As a means of mass media, it has the advantages of visual image, systematic, special targets. To maintain its vitality for development, display design should continue to absorb new ideas and concepts as well as new means of dissemination of performance to highlight their own strengths in an increasingly competitive media industry. Specifically, we should innovate on the design concept and technical means.In this study, it combines the scenario-based learning theory, learner-centered theory and interaction design theory as well as the ABC theory of emotion with the design and implementation of the Internet of Things Research Institute of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in Wuxi, through the scientific methods such as literature analysis and exploring, to analyze the Hall property from two perspectives of science and marketing and to guide and construct the exhibition design with the educational theory and the theory in advertising product design. And this is innovation of display design theory.On the other hand, it involves the Internet of Things technology into the interactive design to see it as a bridge of the interaction situation and the real things involved in interaction. It expands the three elements involved in the process of interaction in the traditional exhibition to four elements and simplifies the interactive steps as well as deepens the interaction connotation. And this is innovation of technological means. All of the design and systems mentioned in the article has realized in the Internet of Things Research Institute of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in Wuxi. And it has achieved a good evaluation from experts and the visitors most of which are industry peers.The significance of this study is to provide a scientific and comprehensive design philosophy for the technology display and exhibition. At the same time, it is fruitful to try and practice how to integrate the Internet of Things technology for the interactive system design and implementation of the display and exhibition.
