Research Of PPC Steganography Algorithm Based On Gray Scale Image

With the fast development of the computer and network, the daily life and the work of human beings are becoming digitalized and networked. Information Hiding is the art and science of covert communication and Copyright Protection, which develops techniques to hide secret message in exiting file (e.g., digital images) in such a way that the intended recipient can precisely extract the embedded message and the digital watermark. Information Hiding includes two important Sub-disciplines:digital watermarking and steganography.This paper has done a lot of theory study of digital steganography techniques. Based on existing grayscale digital image steganography algorithm, we have done several research on PPC and EMD steganography algorithms. There are points in this paper:it first explain in detail about the theory of information hiding; then we give some deeper research of steganograpgy algorithm based on gray scale image; finally, we propose an improved method which can greatly improve the PPC embedding methodWe propose an improved method which can greatly improve the PPC embedding method in this paper. In our proposed method, we also apply F5 algorithm in each row, but to the column, we separately apply another efficient algorithm combining EMD and WPC. Our proposed method can provide higher embedding rate when concealing with the same distortion. So the performance of the proposed approach is better than that of the PPC embedding method.
