Temperature is the most basic physical quantities which is the characterization of the degree of hotness of objects. In industry, agriculture, military etc, temperature is the most basic and most commonly used control parameter. For lithium battery, temperature is a key factor to protect their safe use. Inappropriate temperature will bring to the lithium battery different degree of negative effects. Too high temperature will cause the battery explosion. When temperature is too low, the battery will not release the normal electricity. In addition, according to the need of the user, the temperature control box need to be placed in a narrow space, so the volume of the box to make strictly limited.Semiconductor cooling temperature control box is based on the above research and development, and it is an important device to guarantee the lithium battery safe work.Based on the in-depth analysis on domestic and foreign semiconductor refrigeration technology and constant temperature control system, and for lithium battery limited working space and its unique temperature control requirements, the mechanical structure of temperature control box was designed simply and practically, rationally layout and energy saving. The main works contained the box appearance design, the theory analysis and design of the implement device (semiconductor refrigeration device and silicone heating device) and the structure design and calculation of thermal insulation device.The use of CAD, Soildworks software for drawing and parameter optimization, improved the design accuracy and efficiency of mechanical systems.The control system of the temperature control box adopted STC12C5410AD (contains A/D conversion) single chip microcomputer as the core controller, eview MT506L touch screen as display terminal. STT-T platinum resistance temperature sensor was used to acquisite temperature data. Single chip microcomputer was used in data processing and to complete control task. And based on this, the measuring circuit and drive circuit were designed. Touch screen display system realized parameters setting, status display and limit alarm function. It could facilitate user to operate and monitor the system. The study and analysis were conducted about the serial communication between touch screen and the microcontroller. Modbus protocol RTU mode were adopted in the communication. The communication link circuit was designed. After the hardware circuit design, structural design of software and the software system flowchart drawing were conducted. A new thought around the combination of semiconductor refrigeration and automatic control technologies was offered.It was necessary to launch the study and test about the application question of semiconductor refrigeration piece in temperature control box. The constraints factor of the cooling effect of semiconductor refrigeration chip has been finded out. With this system, the key factors which influenced the effect of semiconductor refrigeration were investigated. By the way of single factor comparison and chart analysis the experimental data was analysed. The results showed that for a semiconductor refrigeration chip different material, working status, cooling method and installation technology all had an influence on its cooling performance. Meanwhile, the improvement suggestion about the effect of semiconductor refrigeration was obtained. And with this conclusion, the cooling device was optimized. Various properties of the temperature control box were tested.The results showed that the desired effect has been achieved.
