With the continuous development of the medical profession, people are becoming more conscious of oral health. The dental medical profession has been a new industry in modern society, and the Byer Dental is just such a private outpatient dental clinic chain. In order to adapt the information trends, as the industry leader, Byer Dental has made a decision of modern informational management transformation. A unified and interactive information platform is willing to be developed to connect patients and clinics, supply the service between them. The outpatient appointing system is the most important part of Byer Dental. Nowadays as the Internet has penetrated our society life, in order to provide patients with more conveniences and carry out the "patient-centered" service concept, Byer Dental has decided to achieve online self-appointing, further improving the outpatient appointing schedule and quality of service.In this paper, according to the actual situation, the most appropriate software development methodology is agile development. The ultimate objective is to establish an information management system, which is completely suited to Byer Dental. Through the initial design for the architecture of the information management system, the main objective is to develop the outpatient appointing subsystem, uniform identity authentication subsystem as well as foundational components affiliated at the first stage. The outpatient appointing subsystem uses B/S architecture, based on the appointing process and the demand analysis, studies the role permission problem, designs three functional modules, including patient management module, appointing management module, scheduler module, as well as the relational database tables. The uniform identity authentication subsystem realizes unified access control and role-based rights management, improving and enhancing the service efficiency, security and stability of system.
