The topic of the paper is based on acoustic signal processing method of wind speed and direction measurement. Compared to the traditional methods of wind vector detection, acoustic measurement methods have obvious advantages. This paper studied the measurement of wind speed and direction with ultrasonic signals, and finally the prototype has been formed.The paper’s content includes the following sections:1.The selection of wind vector measurement methods based on acoustics: This paper introduces some common methods of wind speed and direction based on ultrasonic signals, the focus is the comparison and analysis of the Doppler wind measurement method and time difference method. Considering the working environment instrument, sensor characteristics, the system can be realized. Noise on the measurement and other various factors that impact the measurement, the paper finds proper methods to resolve them.2.The key issues of wind Vector measurement based on acoustics: for the features of airborne ultrasonic and the characteristics of piezoelectric ultrasonic sensor , this paper introduces how to select the appropriate ultrasonic sensors. The paper made a contrast between equilateral triangular technology and cross-lineup technology, according to the attenuation of sound wave propagation, the paper selects the appropriate way to embattle and set reasonable parameters, for the unreliability of single threshold value method in time differenceΔt method, then using a fast peak ratio of matching method to solve the problem. In order to improve the resolution without increasing the amount of data collected, the paper uses interpolation, matched filtering and other technology to achieve the purpose.3. The design of prototype based on embedded DSP: the generation of transmit signal, the filter echo data, the implementation of sampling and signal processing algorithms on the DSP. The last section is analysis of experimental data to verify the reliability of the prototype.
