The coal industry as the pillar industries in China, its security issues have becomeprominent problem so that there is necessary to keep the coal mine safety. As one of thefour coal production systems,underground drainage system is charged with theimportant task to allow underground water to run off mine. In the process of coal mineexploitation, as the stratum of water effuse, there will be a lot of mine water in theunderground, besides, water flux increase when sudden water inrush happened. If thewater can’t be send to surface in time, the underground production may be hindered,what’s worse, there may be a terrible accident in the coal mine. Hence, it is important todrain the underground water in time.Transformation of Huashan mine is carried through based on the original manualoperating system which uses the relay control, not only human consumption, lowefficiency,but also high failure rate, which is no longer adapt to the development ofcoal mines. Hence, the PLC combined host computer is proposed to build anunderground main drainage automatic control system to replace the original manualoperating system, and achieve situ and remote monitoring of coal mine drainage system.The new system makes up for the deficiencies of the traditional relay control, enhancesthe system’s stability and reliability, and has the characteristics including simpleoperation, long life, easy maintenance and so on.During the research of this subject, lots of investigation and literature query hasbeen carried out. Depends on the actual situation of coal mine, the Siemens S7-200PLC,Taida Text Panel and host computer based on Beijing Yakong configuration software areused to achieve the automatic monitoring and controlling, finally. The main drainageautomatic control system uses the PLC as the control center and data acquisition center,lots of sensors are used for detecting the parameters including water storage, water level,the outlet pressure, vacuum, temperature, and the drain line flow. The operating voltageand current of pump are got from the grid sub-system by OPC in order to achieve thepurpose of automatic control for pumps, electric valve and solenoid valve. Systemrunning data is transferred to the ground control center through industrial Ethernet,combined with the PC configuration control software to achieve remote control of thedrainage system and unattended. In addition, from the program, system realizes the faultindication alarm, rotation of the pump and drain line, and the function of avoiding peak and filling up valley according to the tariff principles, in order to record and sort of therun time and frequency of pumps and pipelines, and can automatically control thequantity and time of pump running, to avoid part of pumps are long-term idle, the otherare long-term working. The life of equipment is prolonged, the consumption of systemis reduced, and eliminates failure timely and effectively is ensured. Fact shows that thesystem is running in good condition.
