With the rapid development of the communication technology, the Smart Terminal is nolonger the terminal of Mobile Network.It turns towards Home Network and will realize thebroader space for development, making all the terminals with the internet seamlessconnection. Android is the name of the open-source embedded operating system which isbased on Linux OS. In recent years, Android has been continuously increasing Phones andPads market share, and its open, compatibility, and the wide range of applications will makepeople pay more and more attention to Android in the field of Smart TV.With the advanced ARM Cortex A9processor, the Hi3716H supports high-definitionvideo decoding in various formats, providing audio/video input interfaces,3D accelerationengine and standard OpenGL ES interface. Android supports multi-touch from version2.0onwards. So this paper presents a proposal of the Multi-touch Remote Control System basedon the Android platform. It uses the hardware platform of the Hi3716H processor and thesoftware platform of the Android2.3. Firstly, deeply analyse the Android system softwareframework and application structure. Secondly, the system receives data of touch by2.4G RFwireless communication technology via the USB driver of Smart TV, then report to OS forarithmetic processing. With analyzing the touch event of the coordinates information on thetime series to determine the specific gesture of response and achieving multi-touch remotecontrol operation.This article describes the current situation of smart TV operating system and itshuman-computer interaction, according to the existing operating system and interaction modeto put forward a system solution as the core of the Android OS and Touchpad. This thesisintroduces the whole process on how to manufacture the hardware and software platform. Thewhole system is divided into the six levels: Hardware Layer, Data Access Layer, Driver Layer, Framework Layer, Application layer and User Layer, with the core gestures’ action definitionand tasks mapping principles, a universal touch screen independent TDA gesture recognitionalgorithm was put forward, and gives local albums application for the effect test. Finally, itsummarizes and comes up with the subsequent research direction.
