Gas cylinders are high-risk special equipments, so the safety supervision on them is very high inour country. However, most gas cylinder companies carry security management manually, exsitingpoor supervision and many other issues for lack of effective technical means of supervision andsupport platform. In order to enhance the intensity of safety supervision on gas cylinder, Gas CylinderSafety Supervision System is designed and implemented. Furthermore, JPM code, a kind oftwo-dimensional bar code, is developed. The code is used to store the serial number of gas cylinder.All the work of the paper is as follows:Firstly, the overall design of the system is proposed, and the main business processes and designidea of chief modules are described.Secondly, the encoding rules of JPM code is developed, and on this basis, JPM encoding systemis designed and implemented; the algorithm of RS error correction are analyzed., and implementationsteps are provided in detail.Thirdly, according to the structural characteristics of JPM code, a recognition decoding algorithmis presented for JPM code. In this algorithm, the Otsu thresholding method is improved, increasing thespeed of image binarization on the basis of ensuring threshold constant; a fast anti-perspectivetransformation algorithm, for embedded devices, is proposed, against the perspective phenomenon ofbar code; the JPM code is positioned Precisely and decoded. With the verification of the experiments,this algorithm has higher recognition speed and rate.Fourthly, the performance of UT-S3C6410development board and WinCE6.0embeddedoperating system are introduced;the implementation of the DirectShow video processing technology isStudied; the data transmission technology based on system is analysed.Finally, the function modules of the system are achieved, including the identification decodingmodule of JPM, Real-time image acquisition module and data transmission module. The paper mainlydiscussed the realization of real-time image data acquisition and the storage and resolution of XMLfile technologies. Then, the various functional modules are integrated to achieve Gas Cylinder SafetySupervision System.
