The swing motor is the key component of laser manufacture, infrared scanning imaging,which requires high speed uniformity, high optical stability.The performance of a swing motor isdirectly linked to the accuracy of the system. It is necessary to have high accuracy of thecharacteristic parameters. For instance, the swing angle of the swing motor, the velocityuniformity, time availability, dynamic zero repeatability in the linear part and the nonparallelismof the spindle and mirror surface.This paper is focused on using the technology of laser collimation. The calibration systemconsists of the magnetic grating transducer and the fan-shaped parts. The detection system is madeup of laser and opto-electric position sensitive detector. In this paper it is designed the dynamictest system of the swing motor and realized the automatic test process combining the staticself-calibration system and the dynamic test together.Firstly, the paper focuses on analysing themovement characteristics and the electrical characteristics of the swing motor, which deduces thetesting principles of the characteristics of the swing motor and establishes the optical platform anddesigns the calibration structure of the system and introduces the hardware structure of the testingsystem, including the control of the automatic control center, the allocation of the signalacquisition system and the approach of using opto-electric position sensitive detector andmagnetic grating transducer.Secondly, by using C++Builder, it is designed the high uniformityswing motor testing debugging software, including zero position identification and linearidentification of the position sensor detector, gathering the data of displacement of the pto-electricposition sensitive detector and the magnetic grating transducer.Besides, by controlling the4degrees of freedom compound table, the system runs the mirror to locate the exact position. Byusing the method of wavelet transforms, the system process the filtering signals and calculate theindex of parameter of the swing motor. Lastly, it is designed the method of measurement of thesystem in this paper. By using gratings, auto collimator and some other devices, the systemfinishes the measurement of testing index. The index of the system meets the requirements of thedesign with the measurement experiment of the high-accurate devices.
