Laser processing technology development has been about 40 years, advanced manufacturing technology is playing an important role. The cutting head distance and nozzle and workpiece surface vertical degree of Laser are the two important factors in the cutting process, that directly affect the cutting quality. Therefore, it is great significant that a high degree following of detection system and the automatical angle adjust system of laser cutting machine are studied.This paper through home and abroad summary and analysis of distance and vertical detection in the laser cutting of process, carried out with design analysis and research for the distance and angle detection system of the laser.First, according to the basic theory of the sensor and basing on comprehensive considering of the laser processing requirement and the sensor theory requirement to establish a theoretical model of laser-specific sensors and select parameters, carried out on the physical design; and in accordance with foreign design of laser-specific sensors and own physical design, analyzing mathematical model of the sensor, calculated the mathematical model and accepted the result, that is become the theoretical basis of design; analyzing and designing the detection circuit of laser with displacement sensor.Secondly, by the test accepting some technical parameters sensor, and analyzed its technical indicators.Finally, for the laser head automatic vertical positioning methods carried on theory study and simulation programming. Proposed for three-dimensional laser processing method of selecting Teach-function and through Teach access to normal vector of curved surface slice where the Teach-function is. Carried on a detailed study for the key technology of three-dimensional laser processing Teach programming system—measuring point distribution of processing path and access to normal vector, made the selection strategies of measurement points and based on differential geometry methods to give the normal vector for measurement algorithm, and according to this method studied and simulated three-dimensional laser processing NC programming.
