Aiming at low portability and undue dependence on the SSD database of most ofauthentication system, a fingerprint identification system based on a two-dimensional barcode and DSP was proposed. The central processor TMS320VC5416 was used, and thefingerprint information obtained from PDF417 barcode by the barcode reading device wasfuzzy matched with that by online real-time collection. The quick verification of the cardholder’s identity was realized.The main contents include:(1) Analysis of the development status of the fingerprint identification technology,in-depth study of the existing domestic and international fingerprint identification system design, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of existing systems. Give a directionof improvement after grasp the basic principles of fingerprint identification technology andthe hardware system design principles, and build the hardware platform.(2) The fingerprint authentication system using PDF417 two-dimensional bar code forinformation storage medium. The system includes a document production system based on thePC computer and a real-time fingerprint identification system based on DSP. The documentproduction system includes fingerprint collection, fingerprint feature extraction, coding andprint module. The fingerprint identification system includes two-dimensional bar code reading,feature point reduction, the fingerprints collected at the scene, feature extraction,authentication, and results show module.(3) Based on DSP chip TMS320VC5416 and fingerprint sensor chip MBF200, anddesign of the external memory module, global logic control module, communication interfacemodule, human-computer interface module, and a number of application modules, combinedwith two dimensional bar code technology to design a system.(4) This study is completed system’s hardware design, assembly, debugging. Also, itcompleted a variety of driver and communication protocol of the system need, and collectsthe fingerprint image through the fingerprint sensor chip. The system is completed thefingerprint image preprocessing and extract the points of the fingerprint.(5) This study makes a document which uses the two-dimensional bar code. Thedocument’s content includes the user’s text and fingerprint information. Use the fingerprintautomatic identification system to confirm the identity of the user. Therefore, this design has a full space to development and use in some important occasions.
