With the development of mobile communication industry, TD-SCDMA network hasbeen constructed on a large scale and put to commercial use in our country. It can meet therequirements of public network perfectly by superior radio transmission characteristics andrich frequency resources. On the other hand, with the development of industry informatization,demands for mobile application have become more and more obvious in industry field. But,compared with public network, special network communication technologies which applied inparticular industries such as coal industry and oil industry are obvious backward, and can notmeet the requirements of informatization, so a new communication technology is needed to beintroduced into these industries. Based on this background, special communication networkbased on TD-SCDMA emerges as required. On the basis of quotation of coal special networkbased on TD-SCDMA in this paper, SMS (Short Message Services) of MAP User module ofHLR system in TDR100which is integrated access control device in special network wasdesigned and implemented, in addition, test and analysis were conducted in this paper.Firstly, combined with communication characteristics and requirements for communica-tion, advantages of TD-SCDMA technology when applied in coal special network wereanalysed from different points, and coal special network based on TD-SCDMA was analyzedbriefly. Secondly, the scheme for SMS submodule of MAP User module of HLR system inTDR100was designed, SMS can be divided into four processes according to processing, theywere mobile terminated routing service process for SM, report SM delivery status serviceprocess, ready for SM sercice process and inform SMSC(Short Message Service Center)service process respectively, the processes of these four services were designed in particularin this paper, and abnormal processes were included. Then, software design of SMSsubmodule was completed according to SMS processes from three aspects: state machine design, software process design and function realization, then the function of SMS submoduleof MAP User module of HLR system can be realized. Finally, test and verification of thesubject were conducted, including software compilation and transplantation, integrateddebugging of software and hardware.The result of test shows that TDR100can perform SMS function effectively byintegrating functions of RNC and SGSN/GGSN/HLR, this can provide references forTD-SCDMA when applied in nuclear power industry, oil industry, war industry and electricpower industry.
