In recent years, P2P Technology is developing rapidly, and is widely used.Representative file sharing P2P softwares are BitTorrent, eMule, while P2P mediastreaming ones are QQLive and PPTV. The quantity of users of P2P technology isgrowing rapidly. P2P Technology makes people’s lives over internet convenient. Butit also makes some problems, such as its excessive networking traffic and the easydistribution of illegal information. P2P media streaming occupies too muchnetworking traffic, and affects other users in the local area network. Above all, it’scritical to monitor P2P media streaming traffic in the local area network. How torecognize and block the communication of P2P media streaming softwares become aimportant question.The recognition of P2P media streaming protocol is the base of supervision ofthem. Every peer of P2P networking downloads data from other peers, and share itsdata with other peers. So these peers play the role of server and client at the same time.Every peer can join the P2P media streaming network flexibly. So it’s difficult tomonitor them. Otherwise, most of popular P2P media streaming softwares use privateprotocols to transmit data, and the frequency of upgrade of these protocols is bigger.Some of P2P media streaming software encrypts its data, which increase the difficultyof supervision. Existing recognition method on P2P media streaming traffic becameless efficient nowadays.This article introduces the architecture of local area network supervision system,and explains the function of the recognition of P2P media streaming traffic. Weresearches for existing recognition methods, and improves them, and advances fuzzyrecognition method base on traffic characteristic analysis and blocking method tothem. This article applies these methods to the LAN supervision system. Comparingwith P2P file sharing softwares, the networking flow of P2P media streamingsoftwares have some unique characteristics. This article studies traditional recognitionmethods, and summarizes their advantage and shortage. This article improves thesemethods, and introduces fuzzy theory into P2P media streaming traffic recognition.Then this article invents a blocking method of P2P media streaming network flow. AtLast, this article applies these methods into LAN supervision system, and tests thesystem, and proves these methods are efficient.
