An advanced and powerful pension managementinformation system can facilitate and integrate the data processing in the allrelated departments of the pension company, can reduce the date redundancy andinconsistency, promote business development, reinforce the guard againstvarious risks and perfect internal control.Firstly, this paper analyzes and summarizes the weakness of the old system,points out that the new system should support multi currency, unvested balanceallocation, online file import and report export, double data entry and matching,and flexible data enquiry with multi criteria, adds the system parametersmaintenance function, and enhance security control module.Secondly, we change system infrastructure from terminal to C/S. Since thedata volume is huge, meanwhile it needs to meet the multi users online dataprocessing, applies the SQL Server as database, and chooses Visual Basic asdevelopment tool. Thirdly, this paper makes the detailed introduction on thedevelopment tools and database. And then according to software engineering, wespecify the design and realization of this pension system, and the new systemsolves the mentioned issues of the old system. Lastly, the paper points out theshortcomings of the new system and future prospects of optimization.
