With the development of network technology, the commercialization of3Gnetwork, and the popularity of smart phones, many applications begin toextend to mobile devices and smart phones. Due to the popularization of theacceleration of the wireless speed and the intelligent machines, thetraditional applications have to launch the mobile versions too.In this context, the mobile office begins to appear slowly. My companyis a technician college, with about10000students and four hundred facultymembers. Most of the teachers are in the series, but there are some contractexternal positions. And the school cannot provide computers to the externaloffice. In addition, there are classes in the different campuses, while theoffice computers are fixed only in one campus, and then many teachers cannotaccess the old OA system. The college cannot solve it in a short time withthe lack of the office equipment investment. Using mobile office can solvethis problem effectively. In this paper, a mobile version of the old OA systemis designed and developed for the mobile office of our college.In this paper, the background with its necessity of the design and thedevelopment of mobile office automation systems is described at first. Then,the current development of mobile application platform and typical mobiledevelopment techniques, in particular,the Android mobile developmenttechniques are discussed. Finally, based on the practical problems of mycollege and the expansion of the original office the scope of applicationof the system, the new requirements analysis and the new implementation of the mobile office system are presented.The key technologies of this project are Android development technology,XML applications and MVC framework.
