Research On Remote Sensing Image Fusion Technology And Application Method

Modern remote sensing technology provids lots of multi-space, multi-spectrum,multi-temporal-resolution remote sensing image data for earth observation, which were wideused in landform-mapping, city-identify, survey of agriculture and forest, the geological and flooddisaster, the military field, etc. Remote sensing image fusion technology has become one ofthe hot spots of the remote sensing field in recent years. Multi-source remote sensingimage fusion refers to the multi-source image data of multiple satellite sensors for thesame area is carried out spatial registration, and then using a certain algorithm to combinethe advantage or complementary of the information contained in each image data , to gethigher quality images. This article is on how to get a fusion image which is more in linewith the actual application requirements, based on the In-depth study of pixel level fusionalgorithm. The main contents include:Firstly, the article analyses the current classical image fusion method such as IHStransform, the PCA transform and wavelet transform. And these methods are applied to aset of source images. Then, the subjective and objective evaluation of the fused image ismade.Secondly, the theoretical analysis and fusion experiments for the improved algorithmof IHS-wavelet transform and the IHS-PCA transform are made in this paper. And thesubjective and objective evaluation for the fusion results is presented.Thirdly, this paper presents an idea of zoning fusion. That is, the source image ismade into several parts according to the characteristics of the source image and the needsof the practical application. Then, different fusion methods are selected for each partitionbased on actual demand. Finally, each partition image is merged into one image. Usingthis method we can get the fusion image more in line with the actual applicationrequirements.Finally, this paper designs the flow chart of zoning fusion based on the idea of zoningfusion, does experiment of zoning fusion, makes out the subjective and objective evaluation. The experimental results show that zoning fusion is better to the practicalapplications and serve the production and living.
