The technology of system on programmable chip(SOPC) was first proposed by the United States Altra company in 2000, together with a corresponding development software. SOPC is SOC based on FPGA solution schemes, compared to the SOC solutions of ASIC, SOPC system and its development of technology have more features. SOC integrate system design for processors, memory, I/O ports, etc, and the function modules it needed into a PLD device, and build them into a programmable system on a chip which has a flexible design method, it can be cut, amplified, graded and has the programmable function of software and hardware. At the same time, by the use of abundant core of the IP resources flexibly in the market, we can constitute a variety of systems, such as single-processor, multi-processor systems. In addition, it provides a solution scheme for modern DSP technology. It can be said that SOPC technology set a trend for the development of embeded system. As to its research, whether in the fields of national defense and military or national economic construction it will play a significant role, and has broad application prospects and values of promotion.The physiological signal generator of this paper developed is based on SOPC technology. There is the function of producing ECG, respiration, pulse waveform under normal and abnormal human situation, which provides the signal source for the human health monitoring equipment. The hardware core of this paper is based on the chip of EP1C12Q240C8 of Altera’s FPGA of the cyclone series, combining with memory circuits, configuration circuits, reset circuits, clock circuits, independent keys and display circuits, high-speed D/A module circuits and power circuits, which make the construction for the hardware circuit of this system to come true. By the use of the modern DSP technology, based on DDS-based principle to proceed the software design and to construct the circuit modules of all the human physiology singnal waveform, at the same time we do a large number of simulation and testing so that we achieve the occurrence function of the human physiological signal waveform. Using the software SOPC builder create and configure the NiosⅡsoft-core processor systems and their peripherals, NiosⅡIDE as the software development platform by the use of the C language program design as to implement the human physiological signal waveform to control hte discharge and the release, as well as human-computer interaction function. We accomplish the development work for the human physiological signal generator testing machine. By the system testing, the technology has achieved desired targets and have met the designed requirements, combining with the advantages of stable,reliable, easy to be operated and low cost. This research project can be used in the community health care system, simulating the human body, which provides the signal source for debugging and testing of the human health monitor devices monitoring equipment.
