With the globalization in both economy and culture communication, English is usedmore and more frequently as international language in the field of business, culture, education and so on. The world-wide demand for English has created a great requirementfor quality language learning and teaching methods.Since the early20th century, English has been learnt in junior middle school or evenprimary school as foreign language in most areas in China. However, the disadvantages of the traditional English teaching instruction, likeexamination-oriented English teaching, have been found, especially in basic education. Inmany junior middle schools, it is the teacher who does most of the speeches in class anddominates classroom-teaching time. Students have few chances to apply their languageskills or express their ideas in the classroom. Under this situation, students tend to becomemore and more passive though much time has been arranged for English teaching. In order to cultivate students’ practical abilities and enhance the efficiency ofclassroom teaching, as English an teacher with many years’ teaching experience in juniormiddle school, I focused my study on the influence of classroom interaction to Englishacquisition.Through the comparative experiment based on psychology, pedagogy and linguistic, I,as both the teacher and researcher, made a random sampling and chose the two parallelclasses in Yushan Junior Middle School located in Kunshan City Jiangsu Province. In the one-year experiment, by analyzing measurement of the collected data betweenthe experimental class and control class and observing the situation of the subjects, theoutstanding influence of classroom interaction to English learning is testified.
