Classroom language instruction,a significant component of classroom teaching,is not only an approach to impart knowledge to the students,but also an important source to acquire knowledge for the students,which can both improve the language output of learners,and enhance the interactions between teachers and students.High-quality communications and interactions have effect on the quality of classroom teaching directly.With the development and advancement of the new curriculum reform,more and more experts,scholars and teachers pay attention to classroom language interaction.Therefore,this thesis explores the characteristics and current situations of the interaction between teachers and students,and provides suggestions and instructions for English teaching.The author carries out a study on language interactions between teachers and students in high-quality English classes.Utilizing the methods of classroom observation,with the help of classroom interaction analysis system,the author summarizes its characteristics,and provides references for English teachers’ teaching.This research chooses five classes of the Eleventh National Junior High School English Teaching Demonstration Classes as the research objects,adopts the classroom observation as the main method,takes the script analysis as the supplementary means,and selects teachers’ and students’ language as the observation points.What’s more,the author compiles the observation table according to Flanders Interactive Analysis System,in order to record the data of language activities,summarizes the advantages and characteristics of teachers’ and students’ interaction of English classes in junior high schools.Part one expounds the background,purpose and significance of this thesis.Part two reorganizes the concepts,types and research status of interaction between teachers and students.Part three and four study the five language interactions between teachers and students of the five classes.Counting the date and analyzing the aspects of classroom teaching structures,language interactions between teachers and students,degree of students’ participation,teachers’ language style and feedback attitudes to students.Basedon the research results,the corresponding suggestions are proposed in Part five.Part six introspects the deficiency of this thesis and offers suggestion for further research.The results show that: the students participate in the classroom teaching actively.However,the capability of the students to start a dialogue needs to be improved.Teachers’ language style tends to have effect on the students positively,and impact students’ attitudes and emotions indirect.Classroom atmosphere are friendly,positive and harmonious.Based on the results,the thesis puts forward suggestions from aspects of the teachers’ classroom discourses,classroom teaching environments,teachers’ language enlightenment and inspiration,and teachers’ understanding of the students’ emotions. |
