Master’s Professional Degree started late in our country. It has experienced for over20years since1991. These years, the types of Professional Degree have increased and enriched the ways of cultivation as well as increased the scales of the admission. The M.P.E professional degree is the new added professional type. It has only cultivated five sessions for working personals and two sessions for full-time students since the M.P.E Professional Degree setting scheme. Studying the curriculum is very important in the postgraduate cultivation. The reasonable curriculum system ensures the quality of the cultivation. This article explores the target task around the improved design of the curriculum system for the training scheme of the present M.P.E professional degree.I. The content, train of thought and the way of the researchThere are three aspects with the problem of the research. The first is that what kind of curriculum system ensures the cultivation aims for the sports master. This means that the basic demands of the curriculum system are put out for the sports master professional degree. The second is that what problems the present curriculum system has for the M.P.E professional degree. The third is how to improve the curriculum system for the M.P.E professional degree.This research develops around the theoretical construction, truth analysis, and practical application. This research draws lessons from the theories related with the postgraduate education innovation theory of postgraduate education, nature theory, layer theory, type theory, model theory and so on. This research also draws lessons from the basic theories, such as curriculum value theory, behaviorism study theory, recognition theory, constructional theory, curriculum and teaching policy theory and so on. The research has analyzed and drawn the basic principle of curriculum setting for the M.P.E professional degree which is based on the sports master professional degree cultivation aim, and also has analyzed the present situations of curriculum system for the M.P.E professional degree and found the main problems.According to the basic principle and existing problems, the research does the improved design for curriculum system for the M.P.E professional degree and puts forward curriculum system design plans which are new and suitable for the cultivation aim demands.There are four ways in the research. The first is the literature research method which serves to put forward the basic ideas for researchers in the main theories frame establishment, curriculum design principle and theories research. The second is the investigation and study method which serves to the present analysis for M.P.E curriculum system and serves to collect the cultivation plans and do the initial evaluation research by the question are. Some ideas comes from the seven units with sports master cultivation including Southwest University, chongqing University, Northwest University, Zhejiang University, Anhui Normal University, Shanxi normal University, Huazhong Normal University, Huanan Normal University so and on. The third is the comparison method which serves to analyze the existing main problems in the curriculum setting of cultivation plans of the investigated universities and the national guidance cultivation plans. The fourth is the statistical analysis method which serves to analyze the data from the question are. This research just uses the examined data and adopts Microsoft Office Excel2003to deal with them.Ⅱ research conclusion, arguments and achievementsⅡ.1Summarized a set of basic theories and design method1. Read the cultivation goals rationally. The cultivation goals of M.P.E professional degree are that high-level is set for talent levels, and that application is set talent specifications, and that sports career is set for occupation for, and that scientific foundation is the sports science, and that emphatically solving practical problems is set for the competence and that solid system is set for knowledge levels.2. Analyze the competence structures systematically. Based on the creative for postgraduates’ key abilities, five basic abilities are analyzed and stated for the sports master professional degree including thinking ability, study ability,research ability practical ability as well as communication ability.3.Comb the knowledge structure carefully. The knowledge structure system made of twelve large types is constructed and listed the related knowledge elements through borrowing OECD four knowledge classifications and using the basic knowledge types of the basic theories, technology and skills and social knowledge. 4. Summarize the design principle generally. M.P.E curriculum and the seven basic principles of its system design are put forward according to five basic characters including the specialty, the Pragmatic, the Experience, the high level as well as the probing M.P.E professional degree. The seven basic principles of its system design are the systematical principle, competence guidance principle, the projecting practical principle, the making overall plans and take all factors into consideration principle, the individual principle, the open principle and moderate principle.5. Establish design method initially. The concrete methods and processes of curriculum system design are established based on the idea that knowledge is the foundation of the competence cultivation and curriculum is the key way of the knowledge imparting and combining the real need for the postgraduate cultivation and management. The concrete methods and processes are constructing the basic frame of the curriculum classification, classification distinguishing of the knowledge construction, confirming the concrete names of all kinds of curriculum as well as making up the instruction of curriculum and its system.Ⅱ.2Getting some realistic problems and common ideasⅡ.2.1The existing realistic problems for sports master curriculum system1. There are some apparent differences of different universities for the M.P.E curriculum system setting, such as variety of the curriculum system setting, different demands for curriculum, no apparent difference for the total credits and so on. But there are some type differences for the courses and there are great differences in the content of the concrete courses and the volume of the courses proportion.2. There are some merits and non-merits s for the M.P.E curriculum system setting in different universities.There are some ways to borrow and adopt for the M.P.E curriculum system setting through induction and analysis for the universities investigated,such as the good ways of the students-centered curriculum system design, study for a second time courses one has flunked, major compulsory.public optional courses and so on. According to the reasonable set of special sports setting and the courses for practice of skills curriculum, credits of the field should be adjusted in order to decrease the proportion of the field courses and some special courses are opened and so on. All of these provide rich practical experience and important instruction for the creation of the sports master curriculum system.3.There are some major problems for the master degree of sports programs:①Since the classification of curriculum is not clear, curriculum system is not set unified, and lost its balance;②For the lack of consideration of the common features of the M.P.E program, there are not enough common professional courses;③More emphasis on the input of knowledge and less time for practical training;④Part of the university curriculum does not reflect the characteristics of the professional degree, there is no difference between the academic degree in public course set;⑤There are few elective classes, even fewer college elective class which can not meet the individual needs of graduate students;⑥most universities paid insufficient attention to the sports professional skills training, not open similar practical courses;⑦curriculum system do not include classes which create the students’ research spirits.⑧credits assignment of each compulsory course is too high⑨The contents of the courses are recursively repeated here and there, no enhancement which can be found in the course books for the master degree students.4.There are different recognitions for the goals of the M.P.E cultivation. The M.P.E are the high level applied talents who belong to compound talents, but the number of cultivating compound talents decreases from leaders, teachers, postgraduates and the present graduating postgraduates and the number of cultivating operation talents increases in order. This is related with development from the top to bottom for the M.P.E. so great publicity should be strengthened.Ⅱ.2.2The common on M.P.E curriculum setting1. Attach importance to knowledge quality and ability of the M.P.E. According to the importance, the abilities of the M.P.E. are ranked from sports skills, theoretical comprehension application, autonomous Learning, comprehensive expression, logic thinking, social communication, finding out the problems, practice and creation, theoretical creation, essay writing, thinking systematically to disposing information. There are some demands for the M.P.E. in English communication. The knowledge quantity of the M.P.E are ranked from the professional knowledge, educational basic theories, scientific methods, sports moral qualities, specialized sports quality, competitive sports, educational basic knowledge,cultures and arts, mathematical statistics, social basic knowledge and so on. The sports qualities and science methods are attached importance to.2. Teaching curriculum is play an important role in the cultivating M.P.E. Teaching curriculum of M.P.E has its important status and its functions are mainly mastering the basic theories.mastering science methods, cultivating creative thinking, mastering the latest theories and outward increasing knowledge.3. The specialty of the curriculum of M.P.E should be realized fully. The curriculum of M.P.E are quite different from the undergraduate and they are mainly the flexible and diversified forms of the teaching methods, the lately of the curriculum content, the opening of curriculum choosing, interaction of the teaching, variety of the examination and lower demands for the systematization of the teaching contents. According to concrete practice content, theories and the practice should be combined in the M.P.E cultivation and its realizing ways can be practice in class, just having practice courses, comprehensive arrangement in the professional practice and so on.4. The individual differences of the M.P.E must be considered in the curriculum setting. The curriculum setting is based on the individual differences of the M.P.E. The postgraduates have great demands for interesting courses. Especially the present postgraduates have the great desire for the optional courses and its ways of the realizing are setting enough optional courses, such as direction optional courses and optional courses for all.5. The cultivating abilities value orientation is attached to in the curriculum teaching of the M.P.E. The interaction of teaching and variety of examination are the ways of the specialty of the curriculum teaching. Ability developing should be more important in the curriculum examination of the M.P.E. The main ways of the examination are the theoretical curriculum examination and curriculum essays and the ways of the examination for the ability quality are mainly the curriculum essays or design, prompt examining.Ⅱ.3Design a new program of curriculum system for M.P.E.1. Build a frame of complete curriculum. Compulsory and selected subjects are classified into first category based on the ideal of students centered. Within scope of graduate student groups, the courses are classified into public courses, specialized courses, field courses, other courses. Those are considered as second category. The two-tier system compositely constructs complete curriculum framework. Beside, additional conversion course is included.2. Readjust allocation of course credits. Adjust the ratio of credit between required course and selective course. In line of C guiding program of the National Board of education the total credits remain the same.By adjusting credits of the number of core courses and single course, additional specialized compulsory are given and appropriate the ratio is increased, which reflect combination of the basic requirements and individual needs.3. Systematically construe course list. Through screening of the knowledge factor, reasonably restructuring of knowledge factors, course list is systematically adjusted and construed specifically, which will profile the attribute of sports professional and increase the amount of courses, increase the freedom of choice of graduate courses, increase the number of selective courses, the type and amount of courses. The technical methods and practical content are increased significantly, especially the creation of sport and physical education courses. Some of the new courses are added.4. Make out detailed description of the new program. The new program will be given elaborate interpretation about the applicability of the new program, elective courses from a simplified classification system, course name, course adjustment, conversion course setting, teaching methods, teaching resources, teaching arrangements, and related issues.III. The Characteristics, creativity and Shortcoming of the researchAccording to the overall objective of the study and research idea, the research from choosing topic to outcomes has three characteristics. The first is clarity. Opinions, research on logic and clear thinking are clear from establishment of theoretical view to practical application. The second is specific and detailed. All studies are organized around’curriculum design’. In order to improve the design of curriculum system, theoretical summary, view rendering, and the process of internalization uses has been described in the study, which are realized in curriculum system. The last one is systematic and complete. The research is based on solid theory and abstained empirical evidence. The study is of concrete practical applicationThe research has three new creativities. The first is that conception is of practical. With selecting the curriculum system of physical education master’s degree as a research object, the situation of approach, which the other researchers "talk about issues only recommendations, no concrete action" will be changed. The research should be linked with application. The second one is a solid theoretical foundation. With the educational objectives as a starting point and with the foundation for knowledge requirements as ending point, reasonable course of are constructed. The third one is that results are creative. Through a new program of master of sports course system of a research project, which not only meet for demands of different subjects,but also is in line of the law of Graduate education and sports characteristics of degree education. Some of the original ideas and innovative approaches are put forwardShortcoming of the research:First, survey sample is not large enough. There are not subjects from professional Physical education colleges or universities. Therefore, Representation is slightly incomplete. Second, the numbers of developing teachers and administrative officers from each unit count less. Third, the design of the new curriculum system has not been examined by experts. So, its authority is not so high. The users need to reorganize the demonstration.
