Tao Xingzhi is our great educator in mordern history, he devoted his whole life to the educcation. During nearly30years of education exploration and practice, he created the education system about life morals not only based on the critical inheritance and development of Chinese moral education thoughts, but also positively absorbed the essence of the introduction of western moral education thoughts. Then his education about life morals’theoretical basis is strong and the content is profound also very feasible. Even today it is still full of inspiration.There are still many problems in the current moral education in our country, the controllable,credibility and utility of the school moral education has become the major problems.Tao Xingzhi’s life morals’theoretical basis is very useful for our moral education,so we should study and research hardly.This paper mainly researches Tao’s moral education theory from three parts which are the formation and development,main contents and features and its revelations.The first part is formation and development of his education about life morals from the vertical perspective of its formation and development, including the forming background, formation of the theoretical origin and forming process. The Chinese traditional moral education thoughts of judgement of inheritance and development is the theory’s foundation. And the essence of modern western moral education thought also has a certain reference for guiding role.The second part is the main content of his education about life morals and features.Its main content mainly includes five aspects:the basic content of life moral education theory, the training target, the basic principle, the main route and the basic characters. This part analyses the characteristic of the theory, including advancement inationality and practicalness, emphatically elaborated its contemporary value.The third part is the enlightenment of his education about life morals. On the basis of its contemporary value,the paper probes into the teachers in the moral education work should have "full love in the world" spirit;"Lead by example" and "the people" of self-discipline spirit;"matter-of-fact attitude" spirit;"Dare to explore new theory"and "share the joys and sorrows with students"spirit.The stundents should have union, unification and the spirit of "learning and teaching". And put forward the way of moral education should build up the idea of lifelong education, the freedom of the construction of a harmonious classroom and practicethe"gentlemen" of specific measures.
