Over the past twenty years, China’s private higher education has made every progressfrom scratch and witnessed unbelievable development. By meeting people’s diversified demandsof higher education, cultivating a great many of talents for the society, and promoting the reformof the higher education system, non-governmental higher education has now become animportant part of the overall system of Chinese higher education. However, with the rapiddevelopment of private colleges, a series of related problems emerged, the most prominent ofwhich being the quality and organization of faculties, has become the bottleneck hindering thedevelopment of private colleges. Therefore, the development of a high-quality teaching staff hasbecome the focal point of the private education sector.Taking SY vocational college as an example, this paper started from the related theories ofhuman resources, by objectively analyzing the status quo of the teaching staff, founded out theshortages and problems of faculty development. In addition, in coordination with the practicalsituation of the college, this paper raised the optimization plan for staff recruitment and training,performance appraisal, and probed into the construction of “double type†teacher staff, in thehope of offering valuable ideas and inspirations for the faculty development of private colleges. |
