Research On Values Education In High School Chinese Reading Teaching

Chinese education bears a rather close relationship with personal development. Theprocess of Chinese teaching is not only the one to gain knowledge, but also the one to promoteone’s Chinese attainments and to cultivate one’s good personality. The humanistic feature ofChinese subject requires that Chinese teaching should reflect a kind of humanistic care, and itshould dig out the humanistic resources of the reading text and then make full use of them toconstruct people’s emotional and mental world to contribute to the overall generation ofindividual life values. As an important part of Chinese teaching, reading teaching can beinternalized as the accumulation of rich cultural deposits as well as the experience of impressivepersonal essence. Let Chinese reading nurture the inner heart of the students to encourage themto gradually develop positive and healthy values.Choosing values education in high school Chinese teaching of reading as the researchtarget, the present essay explores from relatively practical level the positive effects that highschool Chinese teaching of reading has on constructing the students’ values. It is based on thetheory of values education and considers the practicality and great importance of valueseducation in high school Chinese teaching of reading. Taking the status quo of the valuesconcepts of present high school students into account, the thesis takes the concrete contents ofvalues cultivation as its basis and chooses the high school Chinese teaching of reading as acrucial base to carry out values education, combining the inner essence of high school Chinesesubject as well as the basic rules of high school Chinese teaching of reading.During the practice of high school Chinese teaching of reading, we explore the corecontents of self, others, society, and nature in values understanding from the perspectives of thetext, the author, the reality, others and individuals. Meanwhile, we use the methods of rereading,evaluating, reflecting, extending and improving to plant the root of high school Chinese teachingof reading to the growth of the students’ life. By creating a harmonious educating atmosphereand a mental home with values judgment, we intend the students to realize the meaning andimportance of life so as to improve the quality of their life journey and to help them to develophealthy personality and correct life attitude. At the same time, we actively explore the basic ways of values education. With the methods of “improving the teachers’ attainments, updatingeducation concepts”,“creating authentic scene, caring the students’ experience”,“teaching basedon personality, presenting individual values characteristics”,“cooperating, buildingself-generative platform”,“reading and writing, deepening the construction of values”, weconstruct a practical system to carry out values education in high school Chinese teaching ofreading under the interaction of both the teachers and the students.
