Study On The Characteristics Of The Floating Population Between Cities In Inner Mongolia

The floating population has become an important problem in our country’spopulation management field. As the global economic integration pattern graduallybuilds up, the floating population will be faced with more development and changes.The floating population will make a significant difficult in social management inthose cities people flowing into, and bring great pressures on employment, education,housings and so on. In the meantime, for those cities people registered permanentresidence, there may be empty nest and exacerbates the slowing developing of the city.So studying in the current situations and related features of the regions’ floatingpopulation just conform to the social development needs.Inner Mongolia autonomous region is the northern border city, with vast land, lowpopulation, rich in mineral resources, and being one of the biggest concentrated areaof nationalities. Its population floats frequently and increases constantly, which hasrised nearly ten times in the quantities from2000to2010. The floating populationbetween the cities in Inner Mongolia autonomous region cannot cause changes in theoverall population of the province though, it will make big impact on the regions,developed uneven heavily for example.In the essay, we choose the floating population between cities in Inner Mongoliaautonomous region from the database of the sisth census as the studying object. In thefirst place, we should use SPSS to preprocess the original data to prepare for thefollowing analyzing. Then we analize the basic current situations of the population bydata visualization method, including situations of the natural structure,the socialstructure, the geographical distribution and the population’s floating status. Ultimatily,we select decision tree, one methed of data mining, to research the features of floatingreasons from the two sides of personal factors and geografhical factors. We gain theway and degree of influences on the floating reasons made by the five attributs ofpersonal factors, and some tipical citis’ floating reasons features. From the deepanalysis, those current situations and features can provide data supporting for thepopulation management department to make decisions on the leading policies and corresponding management methods.
