| The biggest advantage of social capital is that it provides effective and conceptual policy tools, which offer comprehensive, interdisciplinary solutions for many of the current serious problems. One of these problems is the increasingly tense relationships between higher education and labor market.As a special community, female graduate students’ employment environment and job satisfaction are also concerned by all sectors of the society. Based on the literature of social capital and individual employment, the thesis investigates the accumulation status of social capital and its influence on female graduate students in four representative universities in Nanjing. The influences are about employment information channel, employment implementation rate, starting salary and job satisfaction.This essay mainly utilizes the SPSS method of statistical analysis to make the recapitulative description and the analysis of characters for the situation of the results. Then the thesis describes the following results:1. The social capital accumulated in higher education stage has a significant effect on postgraduate employment than ascribed social capital.2. There are two employment information channels of female graduate students, one is formal and the other is informal. The informal channel matters a lot in getting an ideal job.3. Though return deficit exists in female graduate students’ social capital, the sum and level of social capital can be improved through female graduate students’ conscious activity. |
