Study On The Influence Of Social Capital On The Employment Of Liberal Arts Graduate Students

Since the Social Capital is introduced to China,after decades of development of the localization,which not only has caused the academic debate,but also,in a certain extent,has affected the formulation of social policies in our country,and in the media’s derivatives,it has attracted wide attention from all sectors of society.However,due to the establishment of Social Capital theory,institutional characteristics,value basis,and China’s national conditions have a great difference,which makes its use has some limitations.On the social practice level of social capital,many experts and scholars use the theory of social capital to do a deep research on the job search of the related groups.The framework of the introduction of social capital to job search is being built,and a new perspective is putting forward to fully study the power to promote social development.This paper is mainly based on Bourdieu’s micro level social capital theory,Coleman’s middle level social capital theory and the Putnam’s macro level social capital theory.Combined with the research object and purpose,through two main lines of foreign and domestic,there is a review of the literature on social capital and the impact of social capital on job search for specific target groups,and explored the influence of social capital on the job hunting process of liberal arts graduate students.On the basis of previous research and the need of the study,the refinement of social capital for graduate students of liberal arts into two dimensions: inheritance of social capital based family,personal autonomy of social capital based school.In this paper,the 2016 liberal arts graduate students of 7 colleges in different levels in Nanjing city as the sample frame of the research.Through qualitative research and quantitative research methods.According to the survey results,study the job search process of the liberal arts graduate students,the application and problems of two kinds of social capital.It is found that the liberal arts graduate students have different attitudes towards different social capital,the shortage of social capital stock and the low utilization ratio of social capital.This paper is based on the perspective of the subjectivity of liberal arts graduate students.This paper puts forward the corresponding operational suggestions from two aspects: improving the social capital stock and improving the utilization ratio of social capital.
