Reflection And Prospect Of The Master Of Social Work Education In Mainland China

Social work, as exotic which is translated from "Social Work", its development always influenced by the social pattern. After many years of development, social work is still in dispute both in the professional level and in the discipline construction level. However, the education of social work continued to explore and develop in such conditions. Especially the rapid development of Master of Social Work, it has made some impressive achievements, at the same time, it has provoked the field of social work’s thought as well as in many other fields.The full text mainly covers five aspects. In the first place, it describes the background of the topics, problems and research significance. Then it deals with the essential concepts and definitions. After that it analyzes the status and the problem of social work education in Mainland China, especially the Master of Social Work(Due to many factors, in this paper, the education of social work in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan does not contain), in connection with the rise, background and status of social work in western countries. Furthermore it tries to reflect the current circumstance the education of social work faced in Mainland China. In addition, try to analyze the employment of Master of Social Work graduates. The last part intends to analyze and discuss the initiative to solve the problem of social work education in Mainland China and look into its further development.
