With the development of the times, the importance of early education has been gradually recognized by the community. People are very concerned about the quality of early childhood education. In China, early childhood education reform is being carried out. Teachers are the keys to the success of the reform. Therefore, early childhood teachers need to improve their own quality.Through a series of training, learning, early childhood teachers has updated their concept of education. But they do not change their behavior. The difference between their concept and behavior has become a problem that plagues many kindergarten teachers. It has also become a stumbling block in the early childhood teachers’ professional development. Narrow the gap between early childhood teachers’ behavior and concepts will alleviate the troubles of the early childhood teachers, and promote their professional development pace, and will benefit the reform’s idea in real educational practice ultimately.This article tells the education story of an early childhood teacher. The researcher tries to understand the differences between the early childhood teachers’education behavior and concepts. This researcher looks for the causes of these differences in the specific educational context. This article consists of the following six parts.The first part discusses the research’s background, purpose and significance.The second section concludes the previous research on this issue.The third section describes the research process. At each step, there are some problems need to pay more attention.Part four tells the story of a preschool teacher. This research tries to find the differences in these stories.In the fifth part, the researcher summarizes some characteristics and factors about the differences and involves some suggestions on narrowing the gap between perception and behavior.The last part reviews the process of the research in order to find out some questions that can be improved in the future.
