Career Planing Problems Of Undergraduates In English Majors And Countermeasures

Career planing is a new concept proposed by American scholars in1950s. From the angle of healthy and harmonious development, it tries to make the career guidance more match the needs of job seekers and social economy development. At the end of1990s, career planing theory which was spread into China from western has aroused a great attention of educational world, academic and business circles.In the new period, career planing of English majors are related to the development of higher education,and related to the group’s health development. Taking the Marxism-Leninism, Maozedong thoughts and the important thoughts of three represents as the guidances, this paper elaborates the relating concepts and theories about career planing of undergraduates. With the questionnaire survey, this paper taking the undergraduates in English majors in Huaxia institute, a institute of Wuhan University of Technology, makes the questionnaire sample survey and relating data statistics. Based on the parsons person job matching theory to make the questionnaire.From the three aspects of career planing,we should combine the Professional knowledge structure with the English majors’Personalities and Characteristics. Through the data analysis, it concludes the current situation and temporary problems of English major undergraduates’career planing and formulate undergraduates with the combinations of reasons analysis of statistic data and special cultivating mode of English major undergraduates. The purpose is to strengthen the effectiveness and to promote the perfection of the career planing.
