| Biological experiments contain a large number of inquire learning materials in middle school, but so far the experimental activities also have shortcomings in middle school, and the research abilities of the students have not been effectively improved. The main reason is that our country still lacks an effective evaluation system. According to the investigation, the majority of high schools still assess students’scientific inquire abilities of biology by paper-and-pencil test. This old evaluation method to assess the abilities of scientific inquiry is as the old ruler to measure something new, narrows and alienates the inquire teaching, and hinders the cultivation of students’exploring abilities. In the international science education, field observation is recognized as the most effective evaluation method of scientific inquire abilities, but its high cost limits the use of large scale; secondly,the lower cost of the worksheet which is also considered to be an effective method of assessment. But the study of worksheet is lack at home and abroad, and the research about biological experiment exploring abilities’evaluation of different types of worksheets is few. Therefore, this study plans to establish a set of relatively perfect evaluation system which is based on the worksheet through the theory and empirical study to assess the abilities of scientific inquiry, gives full play to students’ evaluation on the students’subjectivity, then conducts better evaluation on biological experiment inquire process and inquire abilities, emotion attitude and concept of value as well as scientific literacy and so on.Firstly, on the basis of PTA scale, combined with the basic requirements of scientific inquire abilities in" The standard of biological curriculum for Compulsory Education ",we establish an evaluation index system based on students’biological experiment exploring abilities in middle school. Then, according to the index system the author designs questionnaire. The investigation objects are the experts who study the biological curriculum and teaching theories throughout the country and biological teachers all over the province of Jiangsu. According to their opinions revise the indexes finally, eventually form a set of evaluation system based on the worksheet to assess the students’abilities of biological scientific inquiry in middle school.Secondly, after measured the reliability and validity of a survey questionnaire, combining with the importance of every index of questionnaire, and weights of the various indicators are determined in the use of AHP, so does a set of evaluation weight system based on the worksheet to assess students’abilities of biological scientific inquiry in middle school.Finally, selecting typical biological inquire exercise from entrance examination of middle school in our country,some students who are in Grade One in middle school in Nanjing were measured, from whom selects two classes who have no obvious differences about the inquire abilities. Then, we put into the worksheets which played a structural role and a leading role on two classes of students respectively, each worksheet contains three identical research tasks. Finally, we conduct delayed evaluation on the74students with the evaluation system, then we according to the evaluation results analysis the issues which are exposed in the worksheets. In addition, in the course of study we also found many problems, such as the design of evaluation index, the sex of test subjects, the difference of cognitive style, the scientific nature of worksheets,the representation and authority of subjects who fill in questionnaires and so on, these problems need to be further researched. |
