With the advent of the information age, information technology has become the core,leader of modern industry and an important symbol of the progress of the industry. Atpresent, the construction of our college e-government is gradually strengthening, ofwhich college students’ archival departments is the core content. It is an important task ofthe students’ archival departments and archive workers to make the college students fileworks electronized. But, according to the current situation in China, there are manyissues such as a serious shortage of social attention, the slow speed of the construction,and uneven development in our college students’ electronic files service.As a student’s important records of the activities in college, college students files isan important life history of students,and it has an incredible value in student’s life. Basedon the importance of college students file and the concept of student-centered, this paperfocuses on the construction of the college students electronic file system and explorecollege student files work on new ideas.In the paper, the basic connotation of the electronic files of the college students isclarified, the strengths and weaknesses of the existing student files management systemis analyzed, and the development status of the college students in the electronic filesystem is summed up. Then relying on the existing college campus network of thecollege educational management system and with the advanced network infrastructureand technical means, the definite structure of the electronic file system meeting the socialneeds of college students is established. Furthermore, on the purpose of developing thecollege students electronic files, the whole guarantee mechanism from central to local isneeded, which ensures the adequate and effective supply of financial, material andhuman efforts. Finally, in order to adapt to the development needs of the college studentfiles work on modernization and technological, a nationwide system of electronic filesworks of college students should be built up.
