In mathematics teaching, the "teaching " and "learning " as a whole is the end-result of "teaching", both of which affect students’ achievement. Based on the requirements of the Curriculum Reform of Basic Education, many scholars began to concern about students’ learning behavior, but they pay more attention to the learning behavior of during the class while ignoring the behavior of students outside the school. However,"learning" is throughout before class, on the lecture, after class, so it is necessary to make an intensive study of the learning behavior of students,.After analyzing the domestic and international research about behavior, learning behavior, and mathematics learning behavior, this paper finds that the previous literature just stays on the level of psychological theory, but pay less attention to students’ mathematics learning behavior. So we make an intensive study of students’ mathematical learning behavior. After understanding of everyday mathematics learning behavior of primary and secondary school students in Lanzhou City, this paper analyzes the questionnaire survey of the69schools of the four provinces of Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, and find that the learning behavior of Northwest primary and secondary school students in mathematics are the polarization. Some students have a good learning behavior, who can concentrate on listening to the teachers, having clear learning objectives and positive motivation as well as taking notes; On the contrary, those who have a poor learning behavior can’t take the initiative, and communicate with others, and lack good habits and initiatives in mathematics learning. This paper gives students some good advice on how to improve poor learning behavior and the advice includes enhancing the students with math awareness initiative to communicate with others, stimulating students’ interest in mathematics, improving students’ mathematics learning initiative, and forming students good math study habits.
