In recent years, with the wide spread of TV program, SMS, Internet and othercommunication platform, kitsch atmosphere has become a stumbling block to theconstruction of socialist spiritual civilization.How to inherit and carry forward the finetradition of Chinese culture and absorb the beneficial cultural achievements of theworldwide to produce more high quality work which is popular,thought provokingand artistical and how to guide the cultural workers and units to practice the socialistcore value system consciously, adhere to the direction of socialist advanced culture,and resolutely resist the vulgar and kitsch atmosphere,have become a big theoreticaland practical problem concerned by all the society.At present, the penetration ofkitsch culture in schools and the negative impact on students’ psychology are on thetrend of further development, bringing greater difficulties and problems to theideological and moral education and the healthy develop of students’ personality.Ideological Educators should be highly vigilant of the bad consequences of kitschculture on college students, and try to reduce the negative impact of kitsch culture to aminimum to ensure the health of students’ physical and mental development.
