| College students’ association is an important carrier for colleges and universities to cultivate people and improve the comprehensive quality and ability of college students.It undertakes the role and mission of broadening college students’ horizons and promoting the development of college students’ personality.Leadership is an important component of college students’ comprehensive quality and ability,and its development is bound to be affected by college students’ associations.A good community atmosphere plays a vital role in whether college students can stay in the community to develop themselves.In view of this,this study examines the influence mechanism of a good community atmosphere on the cultivation and promotion of college students’ leadership.And try to reveal the direct and intermediary relationship between community atmosphere and college students’ leadership.To some extent,this can provide a reference for creating a good atmosphere of college student associations so as to improve the leadership of college students.Generally speaking,this study selects 5000 community students from 11 universities in 6regions of X province as the research object,using quantitative and qualitative research methods.With reference to social cognitive theory,leadership theory and youth social development theory and other resources,this paper first analyzes the current situation of college students’ leadership.The researcher verified the effects of different types of community atmosphere on college students’ leadership and the role of college students’ self-efficacy and community involvement in the relationship between community atmosphere and college students’ leadership.Then through qualitative research to further present and verify the impact of college community atmosphere on college students’ leadership.On this basis,this study puts forward college students’ leadership improvement strategies based on a good community atmosphere.Specifically,this study first analyzes the current situation and differences of the leadership of college students who participate in student associations.While drawing lessons from the survey tools that have been widely used and have high reliability and validity,the leadership questionnaire for college students is revised according to the results of the actual interview.The purposeful cluster sampling method was adopted for the students who participated in the association in 11 colleges and universities.The sampling is divided into two stages.a total of579 valid data were obtained in the first stage,which were used to test the reliability and validity of each questionnaire.In the second stage,a total of 4205 valid data were obtained,and the relevant hypotheses were verified by exploratory factor analysis,correlation analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,analysis of variance,regression analysis and other statistical techniques of SPSS20.0,Amos17.0 and other software.To explore the influence of community atmosphere and its dimensions on college students’ leadership and its dimensions.At the same time,verify the intermediary relationship between self-efficacy and community involvement in the community atmosphere and college students’ leadership.The conclusions of the quantitative study are as follows.First,at present,the leadership of college students participating in associations in 11 universities in 6 regions of X province is in the upper-middle level.Among them,the level of social practice and communication dimension is relatively low.The leadership of male students is higher than that of female students.Freshmen who join the club have the strongest perception of their leadership.The college students who join the art club have the highest leadership.College students whose families live in big cities have the highest leadership.College students who participate in innovative and entrepreneurial societies have the highest leadership.College students who have joined the club for more than 3 years have the highest level of leadership.College students who join clubs for more than 4 hours a week have the highest leadership.Second,friendly atmosphere,innovative atmosphere and fair atmosphere have a positive effect on college students’ leadership.The predictive power of community atmosphere and college students’ leadership and its three dimensions reached55.9%,72.4%,81% and 78.9%,respectively.Third,the sense of self-efficacy and community input of college students participating in the association play an intermediary role between the atmosphere of the association and the leadership of college students.The mediating effect is 24.86% and 17.6% respectively.Self-efficacy and community involvement play the best intermediary role between fair atmosphere and college students’ leadership.In the second part,the researcher selects A university innovative elite community instructors,community leaders and community members to carry out semi-structured interviews and in-depth interviews.The researcher carries on the multi-person mutual proofreading coding to the interview text data.On the basis of data processing,this paper analyzes and reveals the specific situation and mechanism of the effect of community atmosphere on college students’ leadership.The research results show four aspects.1)College students’ leadership is the comprehensive quality and ability of college students,which can be acquired through nurturing.The leadership of innovative and entrepreneurial community members is higher than that of other types of community members.The duration and frequency of college students’ participation in community activities have a significant impact on their leadership level,and the results of this effect are consistent with the above-mentioned quantitative analysis conclusions.2)College students’ associations generally have friendly,innovative and fair community atmosphere,especially friendly atmosphere and innovative atmosphere,which have a great impact on the personality charm of college students.Among them,the friendly atmosphere has the greatest influence,followed by the innovative atmosphere,and finally the fair atmosphere.3)In terms of self-efficacy and community input of college students participating in associations,friendly and innovative atmosphere can directly affect the sense of self-efficacy and community input of college students participating in associations,and their intermediary role is not obvious.4)A good community atmosphere has a positive effect on college students’ leadership,and college students’ self-efficacy and community input play an intermediary role between community atmosphere and college students’ leadership,especially in a fair atmosphere.In the third part,on the basis of empirical research,this study further discusses the practical strategies of how to improve college students’ leadership based on a good community atmosphere from four aspects: universities,community instructors,community leaders and college students who participate in the association.The researcher believes that colleges and universities need a fair and standardized community management system to improve the overall quality of college students.Community instructors should actively assist in creating a democratic and friendly community atmosphere for students’ independent development.Community leaders need to lead the incentive evaluation and innovative atmosphere under the common vision.The members of the association should establish the practical view of self and the all-round sustainable development of the community. |
