Interest is an important non-intellectual factors, a positive mood which is useful of the learning process of students. It has been classified by a variety of methods, such as material interest and spiritual interest, direct interest and indirect interest, personal interest and social interest.The interest in chemistry is the internal driving force of the students to learn chemistry. This thesis focuses on the low interest, the bad results in chemistry of Yanyuan County high school students, and the ineffective teaching results in chemistry. The author and a number of high school chemistry teachers researched on the causes of the loss of interest in learning chemistry of high school students from different grades, different levels of classes, different Ethnic groups and genders. The results are as followings:1.The students of Sichuan Yanyuan County high school have the interest in chemistry, but the value is very low, about58,which is far away95.2. The level of interest in learning has a certain relationship to the educational levels and equipments, the teachers, the source of students etc. of the school.3. On the Ethnic groups and genders structure, there is no great difference in the interest in learning chemistry, but in some abstract chapters, such as the amount of substance, the structure of atoms, the structure of matters, male students have slight advantage than female students.4. The level of results will affect the interest in learning chemistry. the students who superior and middle have results learn in chemistry have no obvious difference in the interest, but poor performance has a serious impact on the interest.In response to the above findings, we propose a variety of solutions, such as changing the concept of the traditional teaching to meet the requirements of the new curriculum, using the multimedia, taking the full advantage of the FLASH unique effects and chemistry experiments, to stimulate the interest in learning chemistry of this area students. And these solutions are effective.
