With the development of the reform on the new curriculum, the ideological and moral education of China adjusts its teaching contents in response, which used to be far away from students’real life and emphasis on political theories now trends to be true to life to meet the law of students’somatopsychic development. As the teaching content changes,teaching approaches employed by teachers changes subsequently. However,those diversified and innovative teaching approaches have not achieved satisfactory results. This thesis takes the investigation in a rural middle school as an example. After the study and research on Professor Lin Chongde and Professor Hu Weiping’s teaching mode of "Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching", the author intends to apply it into the ideological and moral course with the aim to find a learning method more effective in line with effective the teaching learning and students’efficient learning.Chapter One introduces the origins and the significance of the research question, and has a literature review on the achievements of previous research, their major research methods and innovations.Chapter Two introduces the connotation, basic principles and fundamental thoughts of the "Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" in details. By introducing the "Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" mode’s connotation, basic principles and the basic idea, the thesis attempts to provide theoretical support for the practice of this teaching mode.Chapter Three analyses the practical value of "Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" in the course of the ideological and moral teaching. By introducing the focus of "Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" on effective classroom interaction, it proposes that effective classroom interaction refers to the effective, efficient and beneficial interaction, and puts forward a solution to show how to improve the inefficiency of classroom interaction after the new curriculum reform; the core of the "Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" is students’thinking activities, and the focus of classroom activities is to develop students’thinking skills and improve their thinking ability;"Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" is closely related to teaching objectives of the course. Thus, some teachers’neglection of teaching objectives and their eventual failure on the fulfillment of teaching tasks can be avoided."Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" focuses on the reflection process of knowledge exploration, and can lead teachers to the process of knowledge formation and to avoid the regression of classroom teaching back to the old way of imparting knowledge only.Chapter Four proposes the practical strategies of "Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" in the ideological and moral course. This chapter is the focal point of this research. In this chapter,"Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" is applied to every link of the ideological and moral course. In the lead-in part of the teaching, the teacher arouses students’interest and learning motivation by the employment of the mode, and thus to introduces the subject of the study; during the teaching process, the teacher creates problem-solving situation which generates cognitive conflict to stimulate students’thinking. At the same time, the thesis focuses on the effectiveness of interaction between the teacher and the students and among students, highlights the formation process of knowledge, and strengthens the education on learning methods to develop students’exploration ability. During the summary period, the thesis applies this mode into teaching summary. With teachers’guidance, students’summary of the knowledge they have learnt, their learning methods, experience and failures, students can have a better understanding of the ins and outs of knowledge and develop their own cognitive structure. In the application period,"Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" aims at training the quality of students’ thinking flexibility. The teacher grasps the penetration and migration between the knowledge and methods to pilot students’ divergent thinking and help them to well command the basic methods of creative thinking.This research mainly introduces the connation, basic principles, fundamental thoughts of "Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching" and its application into the ideological and moral course."Thinking Type of Classroom Teaching", which has a solid theoretical bases and rich practice experience, plays an important role in teachers’ creativeness on the ideological and moral teaching approaches, and in improving students’thinking ability, especially their creative power.
