In recent years, with the university expansion, each university campusarea, the number of students, faculty and staff increase sharply, schoolspending increase much more than in the past; especially the rapid growthof energy consumption costs, not only increase the cost of trainingstudents, but also cause school economic tension. Only by understandingthe university’s current energy management system and the consumptionof energy, can we further strengthen the control of the school’s energymanagement and thus we can provide a theoretical basis in improvingenergy management, and to save energy and reduce the financial liability. This paper uses the statistical descriptive analysis, multi-input andmulti-output research methods to analyze energy management ofuniversity. We do descriptive statistical analysis for the S school from2006to2010of water, electricity, gas consumption and expenditures, percapita consumption of water, electricity and expenditure. The resultsshow that the best analysis of the effect is the water, per capitaconsumption of water and expenses decreased year by year, and thenumbers go down to the lowest in2010. The management of electricaland gas energy is also effective, but less obvious than the effect of watermanagement. Subsequently, the passage use the model of DEA (multi-input, multiple output)to evaluate the effectiveness of energymanagement in universities. We select the data from2006to2010of Sschool, use the five-year period of consumption of water, electricity andgas as multi-input, the number of students as multi-output for analysis. The evaluation results show that the average overall efficiency of thewater is0.979, the average overall efficiency of the electricity is0.918,the lowest overall efficiency of the gas is only0.798. Therefore, wesummarize that S School will focus on the management of the gas in thenext several years. Finally, we make a summary of the full text that the S-school since the2007energy conservation office was established, taking a series ofenergy-saving new measures. According to the results of the statisticaland DEA evaluation analysis, we find that, effectiveness of waterconsumption management is significant, electricity and gas has a certaineffect, but both of them were not better than water consumptionmanagement. So we conclude that S school energy management will putmuch emphasis on the consumption of electricity and gas. We take Sschool, for example to do an in-depth understanding and analysis, we candraw a common problem of colleges and universities in terms of water, electricity and gas management, including not pay enough attention toenergy conservation, energy statistics data is not imperfect, and energy management needs to be strengthened and so on. And we provide fourvalid solution to the problem suggested that the emphasis on energy, strengthen energy statistics and the strengthening of water, electricity, gasand other energy management mode etc, we do the concrete expansionfor the solution and put forward detailed and feasible way to improveenergy management, the thesis provide effective proposals for energymanagement in institutions of universities.
