Study On The Development Of QSI International School Of Chengdu

International School is a new education method in china. It is a very good supplement for Chinese education. There are four types of internationals schools in China:Diplomatic School, Foreign Student School, Taiwan Student School and Hong Kong&Macau Student School. International schools use foreign curriculum, hire foreign teachers, accept foreign students and joins foreign test. International school is very useful in attracting foreign investment and is very important for China’s opening up. The students in international schools are mostly from the big international companies either as high level managers or engineers. The international schools solved the concern of many foreign companies which invest in China.QSI International School of Chengdu was founded in2002, by QSI (Quality Schools International), by the request of US Consulate. There were only2students from the US Consulate in the beginning and there are more than200students from24countries now. It is one of the biggest international school in Chengdu. The school was registered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the beginning as a diplomatic school. However, it has more students from foreign business than from diplomats. QSI International School of Chengdu needs to change its status from being a diplomatic school to a foreign student school. School should focus on this job to avoid emergency for school. Also, as there are so many more students, the school needs to move into a purpose build school campus. QSI International School is the smallest in building size among the foure international schools in Chengdu. The development of Chengdu, Sichuan needs the participation of international schools and QSI International School of Chengdu must take the chance to grow with the economy.This article will first discuss the current international schools in China. Secondly, it will focus on the different aspect of the operation of QSI International School of Chengdu and try to find out the biggest problem it faces. Lastly, it will try to find out the solution to the problems for the school.International school is new in China. There is still no research and report on international school in China. The author tries to find out the related government regulations to do research on the different international schools and to focus on QSI International School of Chengdu. With my10years experience working in international school, I hope that I will be able to get some new ideas and find some solutions.
