Migrant children don’t possess permanently living places and tramp hither and thither with their parents frequently, which usually affect the fellowship with their peer group and results in lacking the feeling of security and belonging. In our research, project based on cooperation among migrant children was designed to explore the effect of group work on the peer support among migrant children. These activities influenced the attitude of migrant children to seek help in peer group member, promoted the skill of communication, expanded their social circles and boosted the social integration. In the early work, by questionnaires and interview to individual cases of the migrant children in this class, we found that a significant percentage of these migrant children were reluctant to seek help when they have problems, if they had to, they prefer to seek support from peer group; while a small subset of them usually raved their problems to some on-line friends or simply shirked problems by drinking and sleeping, though these children could obtain some support from peer group but usually in a wrong way.The third grade of junior school students who took part in the activity voluntarily were randomly divided into control group and experimental group firstly, then we designed six periods activities for the experimental group based on the demands evaluation and problems arising in the practice, which named them strengthen communication, cooperation in teamwork, encouragement class, management of the spare time and gazing into futurity respectively. The spirit of cooperation and support was performed through all the activities and the primary content included in the activities were as the following parts:Establishment of the team----A sweet appointment, Spirit of the team----Hello, my friends, Encouragement class----Born to win, Management of the spare time----Be a dominator of time, Career planning----ave a dream, Farewell to the group----Love lasts forever. The activities were performed once a week in six weeks,90min each time. The spirit of the peer support was implanted to the students successfully in every activity through the group work. The results of our activity were obtained by evaluating all the activities based upon both the course of all the activities and demand analysis, daily records of interview, documents of observations, Perception of Social Support Scale (PSSS), Fellowship quality questionnaire (FQQ) and activity problem feedback form. The results were as follows:1. The independent-samples T test between control group and experimental group showed that the peer support group had distinct advantages in seeking help from peer group, the significance value was0.03, proved that the peer support team have a positive effect on seeking help voluntarily.2. The short-term group work had an influence on the team members and the perception of social support among the members, and as the number of activity increased, the perception of social support among the member was also on the rise.
